Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: A woman in Dindigul district lost ₹40,000 in an ATM theft on Thursday. The woman, Anjali from Vallipatti, had taken a loan from a private bank and was withdrawing the money from an ATM machine attached to the State Bank of India.
A man who was present at the ATM offered to help Anjali. She gave him her ATM card and PIN, but he asked her to go inside the bank and get an OTP. When she returned, the man had disappeared with her ATM card and money.
Anjali was distraught and cried bitterly, lamenting the loss of her hard-earned money. She immediately filed a complaint with the police, who are searching for the man using CCTV footage.
